WordUp and Quizlet Activities
Hello
students!
I hope
this unexpected "break" has treated you well. I hope you have
increased your vocabulary by using our WordUp app on your
cellphone. First, make sure you include new words to your list by clicking on
the question-mark-inside-a-head icon. More words will appear, and you will
select the ones you know, and you don't in order to keep learning. Your
knowledge map must be at least half full. Secondly, use the "Explore"
section. Warning: you will have to watch some ads to continue. At the end of
the "break" you will have to reach over 50% on each of the first
seven categories (Family, Furniture, Cooking, Clothes, Colours, Animals,
Fruits) and 50% over two of the remaining categories of your choice (Bible BBE,
Bible ASV, Geography, Medical, Arts, Math, Computers, Business, Money, and
Sex). Play all the games (Confuse me! Said What?, Spell it, and Smart Eyes).
Take evidence of each game on the individual mode AND the "challenge your
friends" sections. In total, you will have to present twelve screenshots
of your progress: eight from the games (individual and challenges), one from
your "knowledge map", two from the mandatory seven categories, and at
least one from your optional categories. Each screenshot equals a signature.
This activity is mandatory for second AND fourth semesters.
In
terms of Quizlet, I would like you to go to this new Quizlet link. Before beginning, please create an account. This can be linked to FB or Gmail.
You will find a series of flashcards with irregular verbs on them. Review all
of them by clicking on the card first and then on the right arrow below to
continue. You can also see the list and hear the pronunciation on the bottom
part of the page below the flashcard. Once you finish checking the verbs, you
might proceed to the "estudiar" activities. Your progress will appear
on the left side and will be saved as long as you are logged in. Once you are
done with these learning activities, you might proceed to the games. Don't
forget to take evidence of each section you finish. This activity is also
mandatory for second AND fourth semesters.
Second semester students, if you need to review how verbs are formed in the past tense, please watch this online video. Fourth semester students, if you haven't understood the use of the past participle in the passive voice, please watch this online video.

If you have
questions, I will schedule three zoom sessions this week to explain everything
in detail. Access to the explanation here!
The
tentative times are as follows:
Tuesday,
March 24th, 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday,
March 25th, 10:00 a.m.

Lastly,
second semester students, you will have to keep a diary, but I will explain the
details through zoom. I hope this post makes sense for the most part.
Regards,
Aída
